If noncustodial parent moves out of state does it look bad when custodial parent modifies child support?

A little modification for my earlier question...my fiance and I might be moving out of state due to a job transfer. His child's mother is going to modify his child support soon. Will this look bad on him for moving? We get him half the week and he pays for the child's insurance and whatever he needs. She lives with her parents. We still want to get the child the same amount of time. Will this mess up the child support? Will he have to pay more?
