Zoology: The Correct Path?

I am a field/wildlife biologist who works with endangered species, and my degree is in zoology. Majors can vary and still get you the same kind of work, but it is the experience that will count as far as deciding your career path. I work with other biologists who have an ortment of degrees: biology, environmental science, wildlife studies, etc. You really need as much "hands-on" experience as you can get in the field that most interests you. Look for appropriate volunteer work, internships, and seasonal positions. Typically the higher your degree, the easier it will be to land a full time job and the more money you will make.
