Is there any newer religions that AREN'T cults?

I'm interested in learning about religions in general, but I wonder why it seems like all the newer religions are cult-ish - and by that I mean they force people to change their lives in ways they shouldn't be changed, by giving away all their money and possessions. I'm not talking about cult in a way that only a small group of people are ociated with it, I'm talking about the negative connotations to cults. I know pretty much all newer religions (except the irreligious) have a very small amount of people. so I'm not talking about that aspect of cults, I'm talking about all the negative connotations with them.
