Is there any atheist in here who still hold on to the archaic Infinite Universe theory?

Eternal matter and energy are incompatible with the most fundamental tenet of science - causality. In science, nothing exists without an origin and nothing happens without a cause. If there is an outbreak of a new disease, can you imagine scientists trying to determine IF the disease has a cause?? The universe exists - therefore it must have had an origin. It's origin was an event, which therefore must have had a pre-existing cause. And that cause must therefore have been outside the realm of matter, energy, time and space, and therefore outside the purview of science.
